I had a few companies to quote for some work on my house, Carma weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, somewhere in the middle, but it was clear from the start that Carma UK were more communicative and willing to help solve things. Thankfully standards of communication have remained high throughout the process, which is a breath of fresh air and work standards are also high. I would definitely recommend them.

I had some remedial works done on my house by these guys. They put some steels in and dropped the walls underneath. The price I was given was fair and the work was carried out to a high standard. I was most impressed though by how quickly and safely the work was carried out. Thanks again guys... 👍👍👍

Exceptional quality, service and craftsmanship. Would strongly recommend Phil and team. All the works they have conducted for us have been to a high standard and desired outcome.

Had this company do a 2 bed flat refurb. Reasonably priced for high skill set and carried out job in time line set out, would definitely use again.

Hi there, Please look out briefly on checkeatrade the small review we left. Be careful and avoid this company at all cost - We are now moving forward with the ADR Scheme referred to us by Checkatrade to get part of our money back. We clearly will be heading to court. A very painful experience and I regret anticipating this company the remaining £10k of the finale payment without checking up to where work was indeed complete. A big mistake from us as we are usually very careful. I brief info on this company so that you are informed: The young owner set up this company while renovating his own house in Oxford (check checkatrade, where he mentioned "they excavated bla bla.. a swimming pool.. " that is at his own house". He has no building qualification but relies on his subcontractors. Worse part is: As he misses being on site due to "juggling many sites" (his own words, he is not capable of really following work well. He probably would do a small work projects, but not anything bigger. Check on Gov website: he set up company then goes out f business, check the pattern. This is an indication of who you are dealing with. Issues with us: See screenshot to understand. and if you want more info, contact me. He damaged our properties (we had to bin 3 mattresses), we also recently discovered in the loft the removal of old insulation was not completed. One side insulation left which we are also putting in the claim. Rubbish. Avoid. e has zero experience therefore cannot even recognised and contract the right people. He aims for inexperienced cheap contractors and charges you for high end price. He charges 30% on everything and he even would go on and add stuff without consulting the client. Be very careful, as he start cheap and turns out quite expensive and low quality work. Again, this is due to him sourcing cheap labour and not letting the client know. Some of the labourer who worked for him at our place felt sorry for us and of course we have exchanged contacts (2 of them). Read below to understand and make your own decision. As for us, until we get our money back, I will ensure to monitor this company and advise people accordingly. ======= 27/08/2020 - Philip Taylor a big liar and a scammer. We never told you our mattresses were to be thrown away. You did not demolish the room above the garage. Liar! There was a small shower room to remove and floor was intact. Instead, you chose to open the floorboard and flushed down dust and debris in the garage. Even Simon the Electrician was chocked for your poor and tasteless service. No one came here was impressed about you. Potential customers: Be careful he does not even have adequate insurance (voluntary! Beware!). See below what we received from a company he has insurance with: Re: Philip Edward John Taylor Insurance Claim Good Morning Thank you for your email. We have contacted our policyholder and he does not wish to pursue this claim against his public liability policy. As this is voluntary insurance we are unable to act without our policyholder's instruction. We must now advise that you must redirect this claim against our policyholder directly.
