The Commonwealth War Graves Commission commemorates those who have died during the two World Wars, either in Commonwealth military service or of causes attributable to service, including both those killed in combat, as well as other causes such accident or disease. The war dead are commemorated uniformly and equally, irrespective of military or civil rank, race or creed, giving their name on a simple headstone at an identified place of burial, or on a memorial. Yeovil Cemetery contains a total of 61 identified Commonwealth burials, 15 from the First World War and 46 from the Second World War.
