It was my first time there, I don't speak English perfectly, but the two people at the reception attended me and helped me with great kindness and a smile. I just needed a nail trim for my cat, but it is impossible to do it at home for me. I made an appointment and when I returned three days later the woman at the reception, just by seeing my face remembered the name of my cat without me saying a word. The vet was very kind to me and my cat, he asked me many questions to check her health and to make sure she had all the medical requirements. In addition, the vet gave me some tips to make my cat healthier and happier. I'll be back for sure.

We've had a mixed experience with Vets4Pets over the years. Having recently acquired a dog and taken him to this Vets4Pets for an initial consultation, we have found our previous misgivings confirmed and won't be going there again. Our experience overall: the receptionists are lovely -- very caring and friendly. The vets seem to be geared to trying to extract as much money as possible from gullible clients. Our experience with our new dog confirmed this: when we took him in 2 months ago, he was underweight, having just been picked up from a farm (where he wasn't wanted). Aside from giving him his vaccinations, the vet advised that he should have dental treatment for stage 2-3 gum disease (£200+) and should have blood and urine tests for diabetes as he was underweight (£185 for each test). We sought a second opinion from another local vet (Iffley Vets). They said the gums were fine: the teeth would clean up quickly if the dog was given bones/chew toys (they were right). And as for the diabetes, they took a look at his urine when he took a pee and said it was just as it should be for a healthy (non-diabetic) dog, and that he was probably just underweight because he'd come from a farm where he'd been given limited, low-quality food. They recommended we simply give him time to put on weight and come back if there was a problem. They were so entirely interested in the welfare of the animal (rather than money) that they even persuaded us against immediately getting the dog neutered -- again, unlike Vets4Pets.

They helped my family so so much when we had to put our elderly dog down. Gave us plenty of time to think and have cuddles with him. They were so sympathetic. I can not thank them enough for everything they have done

My experience with vets for pets in Cowley is very poor be prepared to spend more than expected.. I have now been asked not to return due to having a problem with my puppy not receiving the correct treatment. They tell you they have it on camera but I’m not willing to show you the CCTV. Very poor customer service they seem to make the rules up as they go along. I’ve spoken to a few people that I’ve had problems with this vets one which off one woman’s dog passed away due to receiving the incorrect treatment which could’ve been dealt with with a simple solution This was taken today and the vet was sacked. Another an operation took place on a Labrador on his foot and it kept getting infected as they did not wrap it properly. Kept charging again and again to be re-wrapped as they were certain it was not their fault. I think it’s their fault and you will not win an argument with them. Also paid for VAT for life on my cat as I have now been asked not to return due to having problems with my puppy my cat is now not able to carry on with his back for life you purchase the rack for life for one reason the cat is vaccinated for life. I’m very disgusted with the way we have been treated and I would definitely not recommend vets for pets in Cowley they are not professional. You will only be wasted money seek another vets.

We have visited this vets for multiple pets and for different reasons. I would love to rate them highly as their reception staff are darlings, the nurse on site absolutely ADORES every animal he meets and the vet Naycho is an absolutely amazing vet but we have had multiple bad experiences with another vet that has soured our experiences. This vet doesn't actually bother looking at our animals, never explains what's going on or our options, would rather just prescribe antibiotics for anything and has made consultations quite unpleasant by being rude not only to us but other members of staff.
