Poor communication, car was due at 17:00 and at 17:45 I thought I’d call as not heard anything, I was assured it was on the way but late due to traffic, they close at 18:00 and at now gone 19:00 still no car, on the plus at 20:05 it turned up so thankful they worked late just communication could be better thank you.

Awful. (Wolverhampton branch) Given a car that smelt strongly of cigarettes and also had a burn in the front seat. Despite a clear message (sticker on the windscreen) indicating no smoking and also paperwork in the car stating a £65 charge for cleaning if any evidence of smoking was found in the car?! Called to explain this issue, as a non smoke the smell was intolerable. Told on the phone there wasn't another car available, zero apology or explanation. Stuck with the car until collection. Collection was arranged for 9:30am as stated in a text messgaed received at 7:30am. Called at 10:15am as still no sign of collection, to be told they had up to 8hrs to collect. I was advised of I wasn't available at the house to leave the key in a "safe place" such as "under a plant pot" I explained I was extremely reluctant to do so as if anything were to happen to the car, I did not want to be held responsible for this. I was then told that "its covered in their insurance". Nearly 9PM and still no collection of car, and zero correspondence. No effort to inform me of a delay or if even a collection today. Reluctant to leave key in "safe place" as unsure if the insurance will cover the following day without prior agreement. However, if the shoe were on the other foot, you could guarantee your be slapped with a late return fee. Appalling service! My advise, go elsewhere!! Shambles.
