Quiet and handy retreat if you want a break off the motorway. Not much to say really, has everything you need for a pitstop.
My 1986 veteran Land Rover developed a cooling fault on the motorway. The water pump was failing, and was replaced by my own garage a few days later. As such, I limped onto the forecourt of this service station in the middle of the night. After throwing the bonnet open, I had a long wait for things cool down before I could top up the radiator water. The friendly assistance I received from the staff was exceptional. I can only say that they really looked after me. Hot food and coffee made such a difference. Ok, it wasn't free, but it was served in such a friendly way, by a staff who showed genuine interest in helping me. Well done and thank you.
Nice staff . Toilets need t be done up some what
If you need to take some rest while on M6 this is a good option, they have costa, m and s food hall plus other famous chains. The petrol station is huge and is not busy as others THEY ALSO HAVE AD BLUE Pumps here..
Petrol station looks ok until you go to the toilet. Out of 2 toilets only one was working. There was no light, no toilet roll and it generally didn't look like it had been cleaned for a week. Not only that the sink was tiny and has been blocked, there was no soap and again was filthy. I didn't expect much but I was expecting a little more. The fact it was manky made me wonder about who had been touching the products on the shop floor.
Oh and the price of the petrol was extortionate. The dearest I'd seen for a long time
