We have had a Christmas Day takeaway dinner from here this year. To be honest it was a last minute "who can do takeaway" panic due to the COVID situation as we normally eat out at Christmas elsewhere.
I will be honest, for the price, we were not expecting much, just a basic dinner maybe.
OMG !! How wrong can you be? This was genuinely the BEST Christmas dinner we have ever had, at home or eaten out , ever!
Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portion was not what we expected. The plate was stacked high and had everything on it.
Seriously, it was soooo good !
Brilliant value , brilliant food, and such lovely people that I spoke to from the Red Lion. I don't know the Landlord and Landlady names but they were so lovely.
We will 100% be getting any food from there (takeaway), and when pubs do eventually open again be going there.
100% recommend to anyone.
Thank you The Red Lion for making our Christmas Day !!
Really amazing service from our waitress Becky and the rest of the Red lion team. They constantly ensured we had enough drinks and were really friendly and upbeat. Food was prompt, tasty and homely. Couldn't ask for more from a local pub. There was such a lovely cheery atmosphere :)
Came for lunch today and was a lovely afternoon do sat in the beer garden which is located overlooking the canal. The food was very nice and although more expensive than your standard pub grub it was worth it. Would come again
Always a Great Friendly welcome, Excellent food choice and Nice selection of Drinks. Lovely outside seating option by Canal. Has been refurbed over last few years to high standard.
Good pub to take the family and very good in the summer.
Not a spot for a romantic meal with your parter (the reason I went), the restaurant is in desperate need of a revamp.
Nice staff and the food was good.
(Slightly expensive for what you get)
