Very friendly and knowledgable staff members. Always prepared to help whenever I have a question and that little girl who is the pharmacist is amazing at doing the flu jab! Better than my GP!

I am absolutely disgusted at the service provided by the health care professionals today. I am a dental nurse, and have been since 2014 I visited today with my partner who had a lingual abcess from his pre molar & wanted to by some anadin extra not codine based meds' although I was accused of trying to get this medication. He works early mornings and needed something before getting in for an emergency appointment hence wanting something with caffeine, baring in mind we could most likely buy this from a super market as he is 30 years old. They did not want to serve us and also judged us because of the way we were both dressed, the pharmacist wouldn't even talk to us. They dismissed my partner because of his nervous disposition I assume, however he suffers with anxiety something he is on medication for. I have a chronic UTI and hip problem and have tramodol, amitriptilyine on my prescription already which I have put through this chemist in the past as my mum lives opposite so why would I want any use of codine? I also was on pregabalin for pain but had to stop due to pregnancy and have boxes full at home so please if I wanted to get high on medications or sell them on I would use those ones and not something that could be sold over the counter. I then rang to get the pharmacists council number and she continued to lie and say that I told my partner to say he has dental pain to get Co-codamol which is not true as he originally asked for another pain medication not codine; I have no use for this medication as previously stated I have much stronger medications at home, prescribed by pain clinic at Goodhope. I am currently 3 months pregnant so would not have any use for it either. Plus why would I tell my partner to lie about his pain to get codine and then him firstly come in to ask for anadin extra? Surely we would of just asked for a codine based medication from the start. I had already advised my partner that most medications don't work for dental abscesses anyway but he was desperate for work tomorrow. I rang my mother who lives opposite the chemist in absolute disbelief as someone who works for the nhs myself I could not believe in the way a professional would LIE and also judge. My mother then went over the chemist and bought Co-codomol just to prove the point that we were judged because we were in our scruffs, they sold it her with no issue even though she said the pain was for a family member? How can they dismiss someone in pain and not even have a conversation with one person and 10 minuets later sell a product to a woman claiming to want to give the medication to someone else, ridiculous. I will be taking this further, I do not take kindly to someone saying I was trying to get my partner to lie about his pain, when I was simply trying to just explain to him to tell the dispenser about his pain to get the right medication to help him, as previously mentioned he is an anxious person and hates being put on the spot, something you would assume a pharmacist would have some sort of handle on and not immediately think the worse of someone. What is shocking is my mother then bought medication and the pain wasn't even for her so maybe try a little consistency! Working in this profession people are suppose to have compassion, however to lie and judge I am absolutely outraged to be perfectly honest. This chemist used to be called Taylor's when I lived with my mum and it was lovely, has completely changed now. My mother said you were rude to her too, still sold her the medication though PROVING you judged us for no reason, stuck up people, when you take a job in healthcare you must realise you will come into contact with people from all walks of life, I wonder if you still would of accused me of dodgy codine buying if I was in my nurses uniform, instead my gym clothes? I think not. Disgraceful.
