Feel let down. They were unable to supply a van yet sent an email to the affect that I had cancelled. Perhaps their IT system is not up to snuff.

Pleased with service. No fuss, no issues.
Seems I’ve just had a very similar experience to other users - this place is indescribably awful.
I also paid for my rental in full, upfront online, through a third party service.
I made the mistake of turning up without my licence. My fault.
I went home to find it - which took a while - and when I returned I found that my car was no longer available. Like other reviewers on here I was told that there is a 2 hour window to collect. This wasn’t mentioned when I booked or, more importantly, when I said I was going home to get my licence!
So now I have no car and I am out of pocket for the full rental. Europcar categorically won’t refund me. The site I booked through won’t refund me either.
Why are Europcar giving cars away to other people when they’re already booked? I am not the only to have had this exact experience.
I notice that no one wears name badges. The customer service is outrageous and I will be making my views explicit to the highest level of Europcar.
This branch is a disgrace.
Disgusting services impossible to get through to right people never answer phone from branches in chelmsford do not use
