I actually did a work experience here, was amazing. The employees are very nice, and very clearly care about the animals, as it is a sanctuary for birds in the local area. When working there, we cleared a lot of space for a new exhibit, and I'm excited to see what that'll look like. All the birds there are very happy and healthy, fed as often as needed as the staff are very knowledgeable. The birds have loads of character, so do the mammals, and they aren't afraid to express it. There is no food or drink within the sanctuary, and there isn't a place within that sells it, but within Stonham Barns there are. Parking is the main Stonham Barns parking, and so is pretty wheelchair accessible. The actual sanctuary itself if accessed through the shop, and the entry fee is well worth it to see their wide variety of species. The shows are also brilliant, so if you're there in time for one, it's a must-see.

Easily the best bird display I have seen. Admittedly I have only seen maybe three others but for the price of just £10 I was really impressed with the bird show. There are two a day, and both are well worth watching as they have different birds. 'Cobweb' was a gorgeous owl and was great to watch. The meerkat talk was also very good. And again, for the combined cost of entry I am pleased we came here. Obviously is not going to amuse an entire family for an entire day but go there, enjoy whats available and appreciate the work of the volunteers. Also, for those of you who are Covid conscience, you'll feel absolutely fine here. All thats available to see is outside, and the seated area for the show has been well managed. It is a shame that the gift shop is closed as I probably would have bought some more bits to support the owl hospital. Thanks to the team at SOS, our group of six had a fab morning and afternoon.

Went years ago, first time back since then. Place has been massively improved, we could see a lot of work and investment has been put in. Watched two flying sessions, loved the vultures, they are so cool. Staff friendly and happy to chat, clearly love what they do and work hard at it. Great afternoon out.

Great choice for a family day out as the Sanctuary is situated within a complex surrounded by shops, a funfair mini golf, and lakes etc. The birds are all clearly very well looked after, and their enclosures are a lot bigger than I'd expected compared to other places I've visited. The shows they hold are great too. The staff were all very assertive with regards to covid restrictions and very polite. I would highly recommend to all ages.

Situated on the smart way to cut across Suffolk, that's out of bounds to lorry drivers, if they heed the signs, here lies a tranquil oasis, unknown to, or ignored by many... Probably their loss, but the place, and therefore the birds, could do with more trade, if it is to survive. Leaving aside my misgivings, about seeing such magnificent beasts in cages, fact is that I, nor you, would likely see them at all, if they weren't... MUST see
