Wonderful visit. The staff and volunteers are so welcoming and informative. You can see the hard work, care and passion that has been put into the trains and the track. Beautiful train ride. Dogs are welcome on the trains too. Tearoom on site. Public toilet close by. Great family visit.
A short train ride punctuated with a knowledgeable talk about the history of the Corris railway. More incredible is when you learn that a lot of the train parts are hand built on site by talented engineers. I would have liked to see the engineers in action.
Don't expect a grand tour around the valley, but expect something more. A short but beautiful raid on a perfectly restored train, which was built with heart and soul. You can learn a lot about the history of the local train line and engine, and yes this small group of volunteers are still working to add more to your experience. We really loved it. Family friendly, very nice trip.
Shame it was closed due to covid 19.would be great if they could extend.
Extremely interesting narrow gauge steam railway, plenty of history, well narrated by one of the many volunteers, who make this railway possible, I'm always so impressed as to what they have achieved. All volunteer staff were very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended. A very good cause, well worth a visit. Check website for operating days.
