Great walk up the path. As the weather was closing in we went round the lake at the top. Loads of fun and great views. Path was easy to navigate and the dog found the going easy. Lots of space in the car park and decent car parking charges. Will be back to conquer the ridge next time!

Perfect place to start the walk. £3 for 4hrs pr £6 all day. If you're a quick Walker then you can easily do the summit under 4hrs. Can use tap and pay now. I'm sure it's the only way to pay as well. Also doesnt ask for a vehicle reg so if you have any time left on the ticket then pass it on to someone else. IG @valleysadventurer

The Starting Point for walking up Cadair Idris via the lake. NB... Toilets and Tea Room were still closed on Saturday 1st August. It's a fairly tough walk with a lot of stone steps early on. Families do this walk....even with small children .I advise you to allow approx 4 hours for a trip to the lake with a picnic. Allow 7 or 8 hours if you want to go up to the summit.

View from the summit was spectacular did the circular route really enjoyable route. It's roughly 2hrs to summit the circular route depending on personal pace took me 4 hours. Views on a good day were amazing.

Good walk up the mountain, nice scenery and water falls. Paid parking is ample, but you can also try to find free parking nearby around the corner.
