Great library, recently renovated. Wide range of books etc, many of which are new. Helpful, friendly staff who are coping well with the covid restrictions.
Went to the library yesterday to use the computer to print some bits off. I am exempt from wearing a mask due to serious health issues. The second I entered the library the staff all stared at me like I was some sort of leper. I queued for the reception desk to get a keyboard and I could see both women staring at me in disgust both itching to ask me why I wasn't wearing a mask. Of course the first question when I got to the front of the queue was don't I have a face covering to which I responded I am exempt and got a look of horror from the woman. Don't really appreciate this kind of treatment and continued to get filthy looks off her the whole time I was in there. I won't be visiting this branch again. You'd think that it would be quite obvious after all this time of them being mandatory unless you're exempt that if you walk into a building without one, it's likely you don't have one on for a reason. I've never been asked elsewhere and I even carry around proof of my health condition incase someone were ever to ask but when you're judged like I was it's totally unacceptable.
Lovely library. Run by some lovely volunteers.
Lots of activities for kids who can play around and have a lot of fun.
Saturday morning 10.30 AM is rhyme session.
Various arts and craft sessions.
Access to printers, internet and computers.
Closed until early 2018 : ( This is a nice library with the most pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing and plenty of pc terminals and area for plugging in your own laptop.
I enjoy being at Staines library, very helpful staff
