Nice, pleasant area. Not an awful lot here, but guess that's the attraction. There's a barge you can enter, and explore, and a few buildings. Imagine what it would have been like in in it's heyday. Busy and bustling.

What a great day, the theme was summer of sport and lots of different activities to try - badminton, volleyball, football, archery, curling, basketball and paddle boarding (for a fee). Kids really enjoyed it and so did l. Everyone at the Trust were very helpful and friendly too. Beautiful area as well. Would highly recommend.

A hidden (literally) jem in Guildford. Reasonably close to the station to go on foot. There there is a nice tearoom with lots of room outside and tables and a boat to play with. Then there is another garden next to the river and to a barge now ashore and used for kids play. There are also balance bikes that can be used for free, again for children. You can take a boat trip in a small and open boat, relaxing and interesting. Volunteer-led site, perfect for a family day out.

It was so peaceful and so interesting showing working life in the centre of Guildford a couple of hundred years ago. Really nice boat trip up to town, showing from a view that you don't normally see. Cute tea room too. I am adding to my 'take visitors ' list.
