Excellent Guitar teacher for me and my 5 year old Boy. My son and I started guitar lessons with Greg as total beginners. We have both made good progress and after 8 months we can play several songs on acoustic guitar to a good standard. My son who is now 6 found it quite challenging at first, and did not pick it up as quickly as I did. But after performing at his school concert recently, he has become very enthusiastic about improving his guitar playing. No we often find him practicing in his bedroom or playing to his grand parents on face time. I am a DJ and lover of many different musical styles so I was keen to bring my own ideas about what I wanted to learn on Guitar. Greg has been very good at helping me choose the right songs from my long list of ideas and suggestions. Since lock down was introduced we have been taking lessons online. Although the time delay means Greg can no longer play along with me (which was a really cool part of face to face lessons) my skills have still progressed just as fast and I am now about to start another new song. My son has said he prefers online lessons. I think this is because there is no travel time and he can get back to causing chaos within seconds of the lesson finishing.

I have worked with Greg for less than 2 years and have gone from barely being able to form basic chords, to playing in a band in public (before Covid-19). Greg knows how to get the best out of your playing (taking into account that we all have work and have limited time to practise). He organises workshops and small gigs for his students, which have really advanced my playing - they're also a good place to meet new people, who are in the same boat with others who are just having a go; so there's no judgement if my playing isn't "the best". We also recently completed a lockdown project, creating a video to "Let it Be", edited by Greg and others in the group - a nice activity to replace in-person get togethers for the time being. Our weekly meetings (online since lockdown) have been a good punctuation to my week and I'm looking forward to meeting in-person again soon.
