One of the solicitors from Haines and Lewis put a notice on my property at Land Registry during a divorce that was nothing to do with me (Solicitor - Nicola Cuggy). Due to this I have incurred legal fees and lots of problems. According to the government website Nicola was not allowed to register such a notice with Land Registry in the first place - it clearly states so. Not only did she still register it when not allowed to do so, she also failed to remove it once the case was closed. I telephoned Christ Taylor one of the partners at the company to try and get the issue sorted. I was shouted at by him, talked over and his over all manner was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional and aggressive. Even when I asked him if I could speak to try and explain he told me ‘no!’ And continued with his rudeness to the point that I had to hang up on him. He kept shouting an blaming his client which is ridiculous as it was one of his solicitors that gave to advice to the client about registering the notice with Land Registry which her client when along with. So her client instructed her based on her incorrect advice given by her in the first place and it was Nicola that applied for the notice when she was not allowed to. So Chris Taylor blaming the client is diabolical. With out a doubt this is the most rude, unprofessional and unethical practice I have ever come across. Christ Taylor would do well to seek himself therapy for anger management. Both of these solicitors are being reported.
