The staff were completely unhelpful and stuck in a Soviet style computer says no loop. They were unable to help think of solutions and seemed to not care at all about me being able to get the car.
If you don’t live in the UK you need to provide evidence of your departure ticket - something that seems entirely irrelevant to me renting a car when I’ve signed a contract saying I will return it. Anyway I’m staying in the UK for six months as my visa allows so didn’t have a departure ticket. The staff was so unaccommodating to the situation.
My options were buy a ticket or don’t get the car. So I ended up having to buy a train ticket just so I could get my rental car to see the in-laws for the holiday. Very disappointed!
For all who did not like the dollar car rental we had to search for a long time. Did we add the location to Maps? Airport right out to the bus station Lienie 8 to the Mariott Hotel behind the reception you have reached your destination.
With our car we had booked through booking everything worked out great.
