We have been Boxer breeders for many years and have had services from quite a few vets. Although some have served us well we feel thats nothing in comparison to Martin and Carr Pershore. We have been through quite a bit of bad luck recently but the vets and staff at this practice have gone above and beyond. They have not only taken exceptional care of our boxers but they have also shown respect and care for their owners. Not only have they taken care of our dogs but have shown the same tender care for our giant rabbits. We count ourselves very lucky to have found such a great group of professionals and would never consider going anywhere else.
Fantastic practice with outstanding values.
Very well organised. No drama. My dog is sorted. All good.
Very well organised under the current circumstances.
Initially called my normal practice in Evesham. Very helpful and personal service from the receptionist, I had explained I was certain my cat was pregnant but I was worried about her birthing kittens so I wanted advice and support on what to do during her labour and I enquired about a scan. She explained I can have a scan and it’s quite common, where the vet can go through what to expect, check my girl over and let me know when she was due and how many kittens (roughly) to expect. She did explain that we can’t give exact numbers because they may be hiding behind each other on the scan but they would let me know how many heartbeats they had seen. This sounded well worth the £48 for reassurance despite being a tough time financially. I was expecting to come out well informed of what to expect from a birthing queen and a tough idea of litter size. I made it very clear the kittens would be staying in the family and that this wasn’t a case of selling purposes.
I got to the surgery, waited in the car park due to new COVID regs- apt was late, cat was rushed in and out, vet was very blunt not personable, she said prior to scan she couldn’t tell me how many exactly which I knew but was expecting a rough number and more of what to expect. But she came out explained cat was healthy etc and my advice was very minimal- was told to make a den and google how many kittens an average litter is! If any problems basically go back to them. Left feeling very unprepared!
However I went to Evesham PETS AT HOME and VETS FOR PETS ! Absolutely brilliant service, they seemed genuinely excited for me, went through a very detailed plan of what to expect, what’s normal and not normal- how to support my birthing queen, how to support the kittens, when to get help from a vet, how long to expect each stage to take, helped me get all the supplies I may need. Also helped my with contacts should I not be able to keep all the kittens. Shame I felt like my Pip was just a cat to Martin and Carr whereas she was treated like a valued family member that she is in Evesham. Won’t be going back to Pershore. Disappointed
UPDATE -
Scan was inaccurate, was told Pip was due in 10 days but 19 days on still no sign of labour being imminent. Called to speak to manager raise a complaint on 6th, was told I would receive a call back on the Monday by another vet- yet still no call received. Called yesterday again to chase complaint but also ask for advice on when I should be worried about her not going into labour- was told I’d get a call nothing again. Not even a message. Now having to pay an emergency vet as it’s out of hours
Efficient competent and sensibly priced practice with pleasant helpful staff.
