Ian Quartermaine Jewellers & Goldsmiths

I'm not entirely sure the website is factually correct. They state that they have a workshop on-site however my friend recently took a simple job to the shop and it needed to be sent to Birmingham incurring additional time and cost. I've got no problem if they don't have a workshop but don't mislead people! I would recommend people to just use one of the independent shops in Worcester such as Peplows or the one in The Shambles Gallery.

Simple & precise. Asked for an engagement ring alteration and they delivered a good service, punctual with no complications.

Firstly I would like to say that I gave them 1 star only because the isn't a option for 0 or minus. Oh my god! where do I start with this one. Ok so my mom had a couple of ring's and bracelet made by them years ago and was very pleased with it all. So she decided to take a few rings including one of my sovereign rings to them to get resized. I spoke to Ian and expressed my concerns about the resize because it was a big jump in size and i didn't won't to ruine it due to sentimental reasons. he reassured me that they wouldn't bend or alter the top of the ring in any way, I told him i wouldn't have the work carried out if he thought it would risk damage. so then happy it was in safe hands and all my concerns put aside by Ian, I gave them my sovereign ring and another 3g 9ct gold ring to use the gold from for the resize and £80 cash so as good as £140. A few days passed my mother collected the rings, I went to her house to fetch it, when I opened the ring box and instantly felt sick. My worse fears had come true.I just couldn't believe what they had done to my beloved jewellery. They just stretched the band paper thin and servearly bent the mount they used none of the gold I gave them it was like they kept it for them greedy little selves as a bonus. I was absolutely devastated . They had it back to do rework on 1st time added extra metal to the band but removed the hallmark so now it doesn't have one. 2nd time to try straighten it up, came back still out of shape and weight was less. the 3rd time they look like they've just filed the top down on the rim you can see where they have filed at it, im not going to risk any further damage to it on a 4th visit. I wish I never stepped foot into this shop the craftsmanship is abysmal. I have pictures of the ring before and of work carried out by them If you need to see them for proof im more than happy to arrange this. Just don't go there for a ring resize you will no doubt be disappointed. P. S the work on the other ring's isn't any good either they are both at another jewelers being put right as we dont trust Ian or his goldsmiths (butcher's) at all.

Just had my Omega Seamaster watch serviced and it's fantastic well done. Good efficient service knowledgeable staff. Superb value for money. I have had this watch for 40 years and I still love it to bits. It looks brand new after the service and it has been polished incredibly to a lovely shine. Thank you very much.
