Staff are rude & extremely unprofessional. Their card machine wasn’t working on either of mine and my friends card. They were extremely rude and wouldn’t let us use the app to pay. Then proceeded to shout at us as we were walking out. Then went to nero by grand arcade which we were pleased to be greeted and paid with no problem
Extremely rude and inhumane staff. After we had just bought our coffees my partner and I left however as a type 1 diabetic, he had extremely high blood sugar and as anyone with a bit of knowledge knows that a diabetic becomes in desperate need to use the toilet. We went back, my partner showed them his scanner and insulin and politely asked to use the toilet. The barista flat out refused. My partner explained that he had sanitizer and would clean it after use but they said no chance due to the lockdown rules. In certain situations it’s humane to bend the rules just a little to help a fellow human being with a an actual illness! Will never come back again and hope people realise what kind of staff you have.

Best coffee shop in Cambridge! The staff know how to make my coffee of choice, a dry cappuccino, which is not always the case with other chains. They are friendly and attentive, and work very hard, as it can get very busy, which is another indication it is good. The view of Kings College Chapel is outstanding, the atmosphere is relaxing. The Pastries are excellent too. If your visiting Cambridge for the first time or a local, I would recommend this Nero’s without hesitation.
