These solicitors are a sham and a scam. I paid extra for their fast turnaround service. The case handler James Maynard did not respond to the sellers solicitors and was slow responding in their online portal. I was chased numerous times by the estate agent advising the sellers solicitor was not getting any responses, despite many requests. When I approached James about this he advised me this was not the case. I eventually got proof from the buyer and copies of the correspondence. This was presented to James Maynard who previously denied this who then told me to find another solicitor and he was closing the case. I finally got to talk to him after leaving many messages on their answerphone, none of which were returned. He was extremely rude, shouted at me, would not answer any of my questions and told me to go and find a new solicitor.... DO NOT ENGAGE THIS FIRM.... ...If you pay peanuts you get James Maynard

I have been using NBM for my conveyancing needs for about 15 years now. Admittedly, communication can be better, and sometimes you do have to chase them up for a response. However, their prices are fair and very reasonable and they understand the need to move quickly when it comes to auction sales and completion. My repeated custom with them is down to their due diligence. I have always been very happy with their advice and attention to detail. I instructed Stephen Lacey on several occasions, but most recently Greg Short in the Chelmsford office has looked after me. I find him to be extremely pleasant, knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a good result. As a longtime client, I can't imagine I will use any other firm for my conveyancing needs, but I do agree that they should seek to improve and be more organized with their communication.

We have never dealt with such rude and unprofessional people as NBM specifically James Broadhead. They do not answer your calls, or even your emails. Have had to switch to someone who actually knows what they are doing. DO NOT ENGAGE THESE PEOPLE!

absolutely terrible. a company that shuts for lunch instead of staggering lunch breaks for best customer service? and solicitors that take about a solid week to respond to urgent communications. will never use this company again

I cannot put in to words how painful my experience has been with this firm. Undue delays, unnecessarily rude and negligent. The case handler (who I have warned i would be complaining about) has advised that I CANNOT name and shame but heres a clue. Hes on the management board and instead of satisfactorily dealing with complaints is probably out golfing. Sick and tired of the way me and husband have been treated alongside the seller's solicitors who have done everything they can to complete as soon as posible. I highly doubt we will be moved in before xmas and this is all thanks to NBM. Using covid-19 as an excuse for delays was only satisfactory when it really was a concern a few months ago but not anymore. Stay clear and stay vigilant. This company is a sham and this firm is a scam.
