Kettle's Yard is one of my favourite places to visit in Cambridge. I love it because it's a beautiful space and shows how art can just be part of our lives rather than stuck in a gallery. It's also free which is a huge bonus but you do have to book a timeslot. This is a must see for any visitors to Cambridge.
We had a whistle stop tour of the house as we accepted a slightly shorter time to be allowed entry straight away. Our tour guide Sabrina was really lovely and very knowledgeable. A real calm oasis and interesting both to art knowers and art non-knowers (me). The house is beautiful!
The staff are very helpful and enthusiastic - I had a tour of the house with a group of three people, and the guide provided interesting facts about the various objects inside. There is also a small contemporary art exhibit inside the museum that is worth viewing as well.
Beautiful art for everyone, art is us and every day stuff can be beautiful. Nice to not be in a gallery.
Kim is the loveliest member of staff, so understanding and helpful when we were trying to organised precooked tickets!
