You can tell that the animals are really loved and looked after. You can get really close to the animals, don't expect all brand new cages this is a zoo that has been built with hammer and nails and not much more. We enjoyed it here more than any other big zoo we have visited. Really nice staff as well.

We loved this place. It was not the most polished of places but we loved the rustic nature of the place. The passion for what they do and their love for the animals was evident throughout the place. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. If you want to support a local business with a great ethos then I would definitely recommend it :)

This is tragic. I visited this Zoo as I am not against them if the animals have a good quality of life. Sadly these animals are in shoe boxes of a cage, lack of substance and poorly maintained. The wolf’s where pacing in a 6m by 6m cage (the two of them) my dog had more room in my back garden. The wallabies didn’t have any green in sight, just baron land that they hopped round looking lost. The lions had less than a football pitch to roam in and a crate for a bed. The small monkeys had the largest cage off all the animals and even they looked on the brink of topping them self. There where 20 birds with one bush in a cage no bigger than your average kitchen table. Large cats had less space than your house cat..... need I go on .... All in all it was a sad to see these animals confined to such a sad life. If you want to see animal I suggest somewhere that treats them with the respect and dignity they deserve! Please re-home these animals!!

An absolutely amazing zoo. A great effort is being made to maintain the place and keep the high animal welfare. There is quite a wide range of animals, all with ample space in their enclosures. There is a lovely shop with a nice range of gifts and there is also a nice cafe with a range of food and drink. As well as all the outdoor enclosures, there is also inside areas including a bat cave, creep crawlie corridor and reptile house. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all the animals. They have some unusual creatures, such as the silver fox, lynx, wolves and lions. The only criticism I have is some areas could do with a lick of paint just to brighten the place up again. Other than that, the facilities were clean and I was very happy. It was a reasonably priced day out and I could easily spend at least two hours here.

A nice small zoo with a good selection of animals. You wont be here long though as it is fairly small. We took our time saw everything had lunch and a cuppa with cake and was here about 3 hours. Cafe is reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. Only negative is that the place needs some serious TLC and revamping.
