Terrible customer service. Avoid
I have always had positive experience with this shop. It is good to find such a diversity of choice.
My wife and I have been shopping for shoes at Wainwrights for over 20 years. Our experience has always been one of good service and value for money in a friendly and cooperative manner. Any problems have invariably been resolved with courtesy and consideration. It would be hard to find a more helpful bunch of cheerful people.
Awful awful and rude. Bought a pair of sandals that were not fitted properly (clarks) not told to put them on with socks and my son wore them once. Ended up with blisters and cuts all over his feet. Took them back and was told they would soften them and then made my 2 yr old try them on screaming to prove a point that they were the right size. Poor child screamed not offered any sort of compensation for a £30 pair of sandals. Attitude was that I was in the wrong. Should not be selling Clark's as do not fit properly and no customer service.
Purchased leather shoes costing £125.00 in April and they leaked. Took back today and told by the manager ...don't wear them in the rain. Who knew! Have bought shoes there for years. All he said was 'don't want to argue with you' then proceeded to do so continually. Voted with my wet feet and won't shop there again. Really poor attitude for a loyal customer.
