It is so rare to come across a business where you know they truly care. I was very luck to discover Ellie when I was at a timbers merchant a few weeks back, buying wood to rabbit proof our house for our new rabbit. The man behind the counter was a rabbit breeder in his youth and we were sharing similar stories about a terrible experience with a vet group in Chalfont St Giles. In my case, my rabbit stopped eating a week after we got him and when I took him to the vets I was straight away told (after simply telling them he had stopped eating) that it would cost about £300 (the final bill conveniently came just over that). They said it was an emergency (which I understand it is), but that gave them an excuse to charge extra for an appointment they already had available. Loving my rabbit, no expense was too great, but having had no experience of vets, I did not realise how ridiculous this bill was. After his short, few hours stay at the vets, he did not recover fully and only after another visit and around £60 for a consultation and steroid injection and worming treatment, was he back to normal. Compare that with the cost of my rabbit's neutering operation with Ellie (major surgery, not a couple of injections and being left in a cage like at the other vets), which was little over £100. As a business owner I understand the need to profit, but it is sad to see a business abuse its position, like Ellie's competitor did. But all that aside, this review is about Ellie's practice - the people of Gerrards Cross and surrounding areas are incredibly lucky to have a this special lady to take care of their pets. Their competitors should be scared too, as it highlights not only how much they are overcharging (and we're talking in the multiples). Our dog had lumps removed from his leg and recovered really well. He had a drain and had stitches with no problems and Ellie was always on hand and went the extra mile to ensure our dog fully recovered. Cannot fault Ellie in any way - in fact she did such a good job that our dog now loves going to the vet! So impressed that now changing the vet practice we used to use for our cat to GX Veterinary Clinic. Would highly recommend Ellie and her team. Big thank you!

I cannot recommend Ellie enough! I have 2 dogs and 2 rabbits registered with Ellie and she goes above and beyond to make sure all of them are happy and in good health! Ellie is also very reasonably priced!

Ever since having our two kittens Ellie has been there to help. They were very ill for the first few weeks and Ellie and her team helped lots with great treatment and advice. Ever since she has always just been a phone call away and always ready to help. I would not go anywhere else, I would not take my well loved family pets anywhere else, love this family run business.
