We were looking for a wedding cake maker in Cumbria as we weren’t from the area and our hotel recommended Mama Cakes and I’m so glad they did. What can I say but WOW! We came to their beautiful studio for a wedding cake tasting and it was amazing. You can tell everything is homemade and so fresh. We received a beautiful design for our cake so we would have an idea of what our cake would look like but when we saw our cake on the day it blew us away. All of our guests couldn’t believe it was cake it looked that perfect and it tasted really amazing. Thank you so much we loved it. I would like to say I will be back but I’m hoping to only get married once.
We booked our wedding cake with Claire over two years ago and never imagined that we would have to cancel and rearrange it so many times. But I have to say Claire has been brilliant, she has been so so patient and caring about what she does. I felt awful kept chopping and changing but she really made sure everything was absolutely perfect for us. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and answering our emails so late at night. Your a real star.
I can't thank Claire enough we had to move our date several times and nothing was too much trouble. She took so much time helping us with the design of our cake as we really didn't know what we wanted. And the taste was out of this world all of our 30 guests commented on have amazing it looked and tasted. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work.
I always love photographing (and eating) Mama Cakes wedding cakes when I photograph weddings. Its always a treat to see her artwork come to life and the beaming smiles of her clients as they look at her creations. I have photographed her work for many years and I adore seeing the creativity and styling evolving over time for the clients. Cant wait to see you again!
Cakes are so beautiful and well made but unfortunately the man who was at the wedding fayre advertising them was quite rude to me. Not what I expected, unfortunately the cakes beauty didn't over shine the mans attitude.
