Lovely garden centre an shopping area. Cafe staff very friendly an helpful. Not the cheapest but nice selection of food, drinks an cakes. Good for an occasional family treat if your in the area.

Enjoyed a visit this week. Café well laid out for social distancing with table service. The garden centre well stocked. A real treat to be able to enjoy a favourite place once more

What a lovely garden centre. Excellent gift shop with a myriad of choices from home made pickles, chutneys to pet supplies. Cards to crafts. Plus a growing nursery and a wide selection of garden supplies and plants.

Beetham nurseries are a reliable source of quality plants, with a fine cafe as well. Unfortunately today I'd forgotten that the Growing Nursery closed on Sunday. So, not finding anything in shrubs and trees, I went inside. I do very much regret the fact that so much space is now given over to what I would call cheesy, expensive tat - it should stay as a plant emporium, not compete with another well-known shop in Ambleside....which long ago stopped being a plant shop.

Decent range of plants that aren't too hyper expensive. Other than that it's the usual kitchen section of really expensive crockery and preserves. Followed by the also usual range of household items you never realised you needed with wince making price labels. Didn't use the cafe as they were already queued out of the doors when the mood struck us. They've certainly taken the virus really seriously so there are lots of rules in place about where and how to move but you do feel safe.
