This is a gorgeous little chocolate shop and cafe just off the main shopping street in Kendal. The shop is right next door to the cafe but is connected and can be accessed by a set of stairs, although the are very narrow and low. The staff are great and very friendly and decoration and seating (in the café) are very traditional looking and in keeping with the stone built building. There is a nice touch in the form of a sign showing a brief history of chocolate production. The food smelled great, but the draw for me was the the huge range of hot chocolate drinks available. I had the Highway man (salted caramel) and with a massive blob of whipped cream was absolutely delicious. My partner ordered a Merry Cherry and after nabbing a taste I was again Impressed. Another point, these hot chocolates were only £2.50 each! Amazing price for what they are. Overall, very recommended!

Wow a fabulous selection of hot chocolates and nice cakes mostly chocolate and the savoury snacks well they didn't have chocolate but still very nice. Unfortunately not accessible to wheelchairs but this building has a lot of history. The calories will be higher than the price but worth it.

I was given a "chocolate experience" from friends at work so went to Kendal for a lovely morning spent enjoying a range of chocolate fruits, cake and drink before choosing from the beautiful chocolates and sweets. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole experience was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with a sweet tooth.

Loved the selection of hot chocolates and the scone we had was very filling. The shop downstairs is small and cute with plenty of chocolates to choose from. The ones we had were very nice. The only downside is the cafe upstairs is very hot in summer.
