I'm in my 70s and had regular dental care over the years without too many problems. That all changed when I tore the ligaments on the left side of my jaw, whilst eating an apple! It was a bad sprain with recurring dislocations that left me with limited jaw opening. This made several dentists wary of treating me. My husband asked his dentist Arfan Iqbal at Sandes Avenue practice if he'd take me on as a patient. I was afraid he might not, given my problem - but I needn't have worried - Arfan knew about this condition (TMJ), and reassured me it was treatable. Right from the start I've had the utmost kindness and understanding from Arfan, Uzman Zafar and Antoinette Jaganathan who I now go to. She really is an outstandingly skillful dentist, and I am grateful to be under her care. She lets me rest my jaw frequently at each session. She and her dental nurses are always friendly and cheerful. They are a marvellous team. I am so impressed with the high standard of dentistry, especially during the Covid-19 outbreak. That they manage to carry out intricate dental work whilst wearing full PPE outfits, is just amazing ! I can honestly say, Sandes Avenue is the BEST dental practice I have ever known.

Very good staff, the receptionist was very nice and had a smile on her face. Had 2 teeth removed by Dr Arfan Iqbal who was very professional and extremely careful. The dental assistant was also very good who was talking to me throughout the whole procedure. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Dentist! Had a root extraction yesterday, was not looking forward to it at all. No need to have worried though. No pain, no after effects, Mr Iqbal and his assistant put me at ease and carried out the work professionally with care and utmost skill highly recommend.

I would like to thank Dr Iqbal and his wonderful friendly team at the practice for their reassuring help and advice when carrying out a dental implant recently. The whole process from initial consultation to the fitting of the implant was smooth and efficient and I highly recommend the excellent skills of Arfan and the practice.
