Absolutely ridiculous service. NHS 111 told me to call this practice as they have sent a referral due to me being in agony with a tooth that needs extracting as soon as possible. This dentist surgery took ages to answer their phone and when they finally did answer they were very rude and told me that they dont take referrals so they dont know why 111 told me that and that they arent taking new patients so they can't see me as an emergency. I spoke to 111 again who told me that what the woman on the phone told me was untrue and that they do take referals!
111 gave me this dentist number as I was suffering really bad with toothache. My own dentist told me I do not fit the Criteria to have antibiotics as I don't show having an infection. I rang this practice and they couldn't help me enough. I just want to say Thank YOU SO MUCH. 👌👌👌👍👍 Xx
Visited this dentist today for a check up. I am very anxious when it comes to dentist. I felt really at ease from the moment I walked in, the Receptionist was lovely. My dentist (Jamal I think his mane was) was very informative with regards my care and put me at ease. I would recommend this dental practice. Thank you to all at Amber Valley Dental Practice :-)
Every time I visit Amber Valley dental practice in Swanwick, i'm either having to sit around waiting over 30 minutes past my appointment time (without an apology) or spoken to like dirt by either the receptionist or the dental nurse.
If you have a bad phobia of dentists, I advise you to avoid going with Ruth Dodge, as shes extremely rude and doesn't put you at ease whatsoever - instead pokes around your mouth with very little respect, I'm in more pain now than I was before I went in there!
If you have to go back for treatment the wait time is anything from 3 months, which is absolutely shocking if you are in desperate need of treatment.
The woman on the desk also got some pensioner to say out loud her pin code for her debit card ...
My young children came for their first appointment at this practice. They were happy and calm and the dentist and nurse made them feel at ease and did not rush them. they also loved the balloons!
