A little slice of Cumbrian bogland with all the perfect additions nature can provide. Your introduction starts with the feeding station in the carpark bringing a plethora of small birds to view to the boardwalk that makes the walk around the bogland easy and enjoyable for all. Birders should take your sporting scope and photographer's your long and macro lenses as there is too much to list here to see. Great covered viewing platforms make even rough weather spotting a fairly comfortable experience. Definitely worth a visit.

The best thing about Foulshaw moss is that it would be impossible to get bored watching the variety of birds flitting about. Also those with low mobility needn't worry as the very best place to see this is park up and you're able to watch from your car should you not want to leave it as feeders are lined up opposite. The Ospreys have gone again for now, but smaller birds still linger though only seem to be finches. Sticking with things that fly the dragon flies are in plenty supply and gorgeous colours, though watch your step as newts are on paths in places now. This is not a massive walk around even though different ways can be took BUT it does cater for a lot of different species from air to water and bogs. Definatly an interesting place.

No charge to park and walk round reserve. Hides are open (social distancing). Can't see the ospreys right now - volunteers have a video showing at entrance to trail. Board walks with chicken wire - good for manual wheelchair. Ok for dog but her feet had had enough after a while. Ps take binoculars if poss.
