So, two of us went in just before 2pm and we were given a table and some menus. We went in originally just for a coffee, due to the complete lack of sit-down coffee shops on Sandiacre high street. We were prepared to fork out a pretty obscene amount of money on cakes too.
...Well, we would've had we actually been served and had our order taken. We'd waited around ten-fifteen minutes to be served, which was fair enough and didn't particularly bother us. What did bother us was the fact that they started serving a couple who came in after us, and with a far lower wait-time, seemingly because the waitress knew them already.
Come on, we were sitting there and looking around, waiting for our order. We're not in fifties America or the third Reich; being treated like second-class customers purely because we've not been before is really bad form.
In the end, we walked out. I can't give a comment on the coffee or the food, although I damn hope its quality reflects the prices, which aren't cheap. Good luck to any of our fellow underclass who wish to try this place in the future.
Booked a table for lunch. Sat in the corner for 10 minutes being completely ignored, had to go to the bar to ask for menus. Although the website menu looked fantastic with various different lunch and brunch options, we were given a laminated peace of paper with 5 options on - salads, pasta or antipasti board for a very steep price of £16.99 !!? It’s not a fillet steak it’s a few slices of salami and a peace of bread. This place is a joke. No draught cider. Only few cocktails available. We definitely won’t be visiting again!
Went here last night looking forward to the 2 for 1 cocktails as advertised on their website, had 4 drinks and paid full price, when asked about the deal we were told " oh we're not doing that at the moment. Glad we only had the 4, very disappointing.
We went for cheese and wine night, see photo. Cracking value for money and it was lovely. Stayed for a dessert too. Covid safe for anyone a bit worried at the moment.
We love this little gem. Tbe staff are welcoming, the beer is cold and the atmosphere is just what you need on a Friday night after a week at work. Such a treasure in this little town.
