Proper cafe, definitely the place to come if you're just hungry and want food rather than showy menu/artisan sausages etc (I like those things but, sometimes,you just want a decent, unfussy dinner). Very good value, great for families ,with kids menu.Dog friendly. Pleasant garden for when weather allows. Helpful staff. Down to earth, affordable, a bit of a rarity in the valley.
A great friendly place to grab a well priced bite to eat.
Spicy Chicken and Mayo sandwich was delicious.
Tomato soup was also very tasty.
The luxury hot chocolate (with marshmallows) is a must, especially on a cold wet day!
After a walk on a miserable day, we stopped for a takeaway coffee and food to warm up. The chips were amazing and the toasties even better with fantastic coffee.
Service was great and we will stop by again
Stopped for lunch on our walk from Castleton today. The ladies were lovely, especially to little Grandson aged 4. He ate every bit of his chicken nuggets and chips and some of his dad's food. Also demolished two glasses of Ribena. Not bad for someone who doesn't eat much normally.
Food was excellent and really good value. Thanks again. You were brilliant.
I called in for lunch today. The food was very well prepared and looked and tasted wonderful. The staff were very helpful and well trained for covid. Everything was very clean and well looked after. If you are passing through Hope call in you won't be disappointed.
