Got welcomed in and asked to take a seat anywhere for table service only. After 20 minutes without being given a menu (or even a waitress glancing my way) gave up and left. Appreciate it was probably a busy time and new regimes for Covid do take getting used to, but a complete lack of attentive waiting staff. I also saw a couple on a nearby table asked if they were ready to order, but had to report they didn't have a menu either and then waited an eon before ordering so it wasnt just being stuck in a corner.
My friend and I ordered the most wonderful tasting fish and chips. Meaty chunks of fish and a delicious light batter. Thank you chef!
Lovely place to stop after a long walk. Nice staff, food and reasonably priced. Good marquee for the odd shower. Lots of outdoor space.
The woman who served us could not have been more friendly. Just what we needed after getting soaked up on Win Hill 😊
In 2017, I was visiting Peak District for the first time. My phone battery had run out and my back up battery had also gone dead. I found this tea room and asked if I could charge my phone. I kept buying as many teas and snacks during the time it took to charge my phone. Thank you to everyone there, I was able to keep finding my way through the area.
