Ggreat coffee and service

Very pleasant break from traipsing around shops, usual Costa standards, not exactly the Ritz, but vastly better than some local cafés I have seen. Good coffee, good ambiance, probably go in there again next time I am in town.
Very Rude staff. Sat down at a table waiting for my friend who was ordering. Member of staff came over to me and basically told me to move as I cant sit there. Not a problem in itself but it was the way she spoke to me. No manners. Clearly needs to find another job where she is happy. Felt very uncomfortable being there after that
Covid Restrictions in not an excuse.
Called in with a colleague this morning at 10am, suggested to colleague to sit at a table and I’d “get the coffees in” only to be barked at by a male member of staff not to sit as the empty table as it was taken. I was a bit shocked by his tone, and the fact he shouted at her across the restaurant, but we stood in line in the q there were 6 people in front of us and yes the couple before us then went and sat on the ‘taken’ table. After waiting almost 10 mins in the q I approached the counter And I as informed that it was takeaway only as they were now full. We left annoyed and irritated by the rude manners and poor organisation.
Teach staff manners... if nothing else.
