We have used Sort Legal to deal with our remortgage. We dealt with E Howard in particular. She has been fantastic to deal with. We have always received prompt, clear responses to any questions we have asked. All stages have been clearly communicated and in a way in which we could understand. Great name, in that they sort-a know legal. The seller was using these and it was the most painful experience I've ever witnessed. Took 6 weeks for them to realise they'd recieved the seller's pack. It ended up with my legal team having to chase surveys and reports that sort should have sorted, I had to chase for answers from the local council at some points. They caused a ton of stress to myself, my partner and the seller who they acted for. I even wrote to them and got a response which was basically 'we're not bothered that the service has been appalling' So, if you're considering using sort, go to your local bookshop, buy 'conveyancing for beginners' and give it to your dog. Let him handle it. It'll be quicker. If the seller of the house you're buying is using sort legal? You'll have my deepest sympathy.

1 star is 2 too many. This company was a consistent set of failures. Slow to respond, made silly errors at every step and added at least 3 months to our house purchase, very nearly causing the seller to pull out. They made errors, lost documents, failed to respond, and handed our case between so many case handlers that things got missed and forgotten. Incompetence doesn't begin to describe this company. Avoid at all costs. Do NOT trust them with your conveyance, I wouldn't trust them with a bag of sweets...
