I would never ever use or recommend Leaders ever, in fact I would warned people against using yourselves!! Hence this rant on social media; we have found your staff to be untruthful, unethical and unprofessional throughout the 2 years of tenancy, which I might add only continued because the property was necessary for my step daughter work and age of child, as well as dealing direct with the landlady rather than yourselves. In light of the above, you would have thought, ending the tenancy would have prompted staff to ensure everything was completed truthfully and professionally. Nothing could be further from the truth!!! Leaders after 8 weeks still have not returned my stepdaughters deposit, despite emailing 4 times a week, phone calls in between explaining she is a single parent and £720 is a tremendous amount of money to her! Leaders staff initially placed the issue on the landlady until we contacted the lady directly and found staff to be untruthful as she had never heard from Leaders, despite staff saying they had tried on numerous occasions to contact her, frequent staff agreeing to return calls and emails with updates to my step daughter but not a single one honoured and the latest excuse is, it’s a problem with now the deposit holding company!! There is absolutely no reason at all, that this deposit has not been returned, as all contract obligations have been met, emails confirming there is no issues in the property, landlady confirming she has no concerns and the property being rented out again within days of my step daughter leaving. Apparently, there is no one to make a formal complaint to, the issue can’t be expedited, and the Manager has no idea of when the deposit will be released as she is waiting on a response from the deposit company!!! Therefore, a detailed complaint with evidence, telephone records etc is being written to the property ombudsman and the property redress scheme as it’s completely unacceptable to withhold a deposit without an explanation that is truthful and legitimate.
