This is a beautiful woodland walk with small paths snaking there way through the trees, and tall rocks with a beautiful heathland at the top. The only minor thing is that there are very few signs to indicate where the rocks are. But hay, it's a walk in the woods, what could be nicer.

A lovely place to walk and quiet. Shame about the the nettles though. Went on path to top of rocks to see the heather but mostly taken over with bracken weed. Plenty of connecting paths there and to nearby places.

Interesting site, with minimal signage. Worth looking up the background history of local industrial excavation.
