Decided after years of dithering to take up the piano at the age of 60. Dave was recommended to me and I have been thrilled to bits...three years on my enthusiasm grows all the time. His patience is endless and he has a good sense of humour. Its hard work but well worth it.

I had always wanted to learn to play the piano and at age 43 I decided it was time to make it happen! I started lessons with Dave two years ago. I felt a little apprehensive but needn't have done. Dave couldn't have been kinder or more patient! He is a lovely man and easy to get along with. He focuses on the positive and his feedback is always constructive. He tailors his approach to his students, working closely with them to understand what they want to learn and what works best for them. I spent the first few months learning the basics and then made a start on grades. Dave has been very supportive throughout and I'm now studying for grade 3. I've had some lessons 'off' grades where Dave taught me some Cold Play, Adele and Einaudi which were great fun too. He's a complete star and I honestly can't recommend him enough as a teacher.

Dave taught piano to both of my daughters for several years and now he is teaching me. He is extremely patient, encouraging and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him as a teacher for all ages and abilities and feel we have been very lucky to have had him as our piano teacher.

Dave teaches my daughter Rosie. He's a brilliant teacher she loves her lessons and is highly motivated by him. He's also a wonderful person. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dave has been my piano teacher since I was 8, being the one and only teacher I have had. Now I am veering on becoming 17 and yet I haven't once contemplated changing teacher or giving up lessons. He is a brilliant, warm, engaging and enjoyable teacher who helped me massively in achieving a series of grades, in composing my own music, in endless yet exciting discovery of new songs, and in exploring a variety of artists such as Beethoven, The Beatles, David Bowie, and Miles Davis, and a wide variety of genres such as Jazz, Funk, pop, R&B, and classical. He is a man who works tirelessly to improve me as a musician, and always seems to manage to deal effectively with my antics which seem to irritate the most patient of people. Dave has been an inspirational teacher- he has for me opened up a whole new way of seeing, hearing, and of course playing music, and he is one that I shall cherish forever.
