We had found and bought an engagement ring for me elsewhere but it wasn’t suitable and time was of the essence, so we came to Doble Jewellers instead and we were so very glad we did as the entire experience from start to beginning was first class! All the staff are so knowledgable, friendly and really helpful which is exactly what we needed when buying something so special. Dobles can also re-size rings on their premises in 30 minutes instead of having to send jewellery away to be altered which meant I was able to leave wearing my sized ring. We returned to buy my wedding ring which had to be made specially to fit around my engagement ring. We spent several hours looking at ideas, asking questions and learning so much as well. Plenty of time was taken to show us other rings that had been made and sketching how mine could be made and would look like. I finally made a decision and what I ended up with is both timeless and exquisite but more importantly the rings matched beautifully down to the gold and an exact match in the diamonds on both the engagement ring and wedding ring which after a year in between was no small feat in my opinion. We were among those who had a very different wedding ceremony than we’d originally planned in the difficult times of 2020 so we asked if my wedding ring could be made in a very short time, but nothing is too much trouble at Dobles and it makes you feel very special and like you’re with friends, but safe in the hands of expert jewellers. The ring was made in time and we were able to marry with a stunning engagement and then wedding ring both of which caught everyone’s eye on the day as well as other people since. I have never owned bespoke ‘anything’ so to have these amazing pieces of jewellery to look at every day is a reminder of our special day despite the sadness caused by the Covid19 pandemic. I would also like to add that both the staff and the interior of the shop provided a perfectly Covid secure environment to the letter and beyond. I can’t thank Dobles enough for their expertise and advice and will return for any future jewellery needs and wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Dobles and their staff.
