The building itself is pretty and the interiors create a good base for a lovely cafe. The food here is cheap and quite good. However, the place seemed a little filthy, especially the toilets. With refurbishment and better cleaning this establishment would be much better.

Popped back to the Cavern in December, It's still one of my favourite venues in Devon. Small and Sweaty, a place where you can't avoid being part of the gig. I DJ'd here a few times back in the 90's so It was really nice to return and find it hasn't really changed.

Great place for live music

The building itself is interesting and a pretty decent music venue. On my last visit however the staff were pretty terrible. Bar staff were okay but the coat-room staff were miserable & sarcastic, even worse was one of the doormen. The youngest of the bouncers clearly felt he had something to prove and throughout the evening (dj night of old songs) got more and more hostile to everyone attending who went outside to smoke or cool down. He ended up screaming obscenities in the face of a girl trying to look after a drunk friend. I'm not sure I'd go back to the Cavern unless for a special show, their staff really let them down, whilst everyone who had paid to go was lovely in contrast.
