Excellent tour. We did the Sunday, 11 am tour from the Cathedral for the city wall with our wonderful tour guide named Peter, and the two hours passed in a blink of an eye. It was informative, fun as well as showed us the wonderful views of the current city, at the same time giving us a glimpse of the past. 100% recommend it on a sunny day, with plenty of water and sports shoes. And the volunteer guide was lovely. Go for it!

Red Coat tours are amazing. Free guided tours of Exeter by local guides who really know their stuff. Tours last about an hour and a half and the time flies by as you learn memorable and often unexpected and quirky facts about this ancient and marvellous city. No need to book, just turn up at the meeting point on Cathedral Green.
