Had a really great time riding on Saturday morning. So much in fact that we booked a further hour and a half the following Tuesday. All the horses were very well behaved and they split our group up between the two instructors each time in regards to our ability and confidence levels. Well priced and the instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend stopping by should you get the chance.

A really lovely experience for the whole family. Horses are safe and matched to your capabilities and levels of confidence. Staff are attentive, encouraging and friendly. Owners have been doing this for years, their experience and knowledge leaves you feeling reassured and in capable hands. All covid safe with procedures in place to protect staff and customers.

Lovely place to ride with good horses - calm, confidence-givers, well mannered with each other and riders, and responsive. My partner is a beginner and was given brief tuition in the saddle on trotting, his seat, and steering so he felt confident, interested and enjoyed the ride - a change from other riding experiences elsewhere where beginners just sit walking nose to tail for an hour! I was able to ride along with him but also have a couple of fast canters. Staff are friendly and calm and the prices are very good. Absolutely would recommend.

Only started riding a few months ago and been to quite a few places and had some amazing rides but this is the number one spot to go to learn or improve your riding. Not just the fact you have an amazing view off the Moors, but the staff are so welcoming and put you at ease straight away. Both times I have ridden here I've learnt more in two hours then I ever have on any other ride. Even though the guides for these rides are guides in a sense they will also teach you how to improve how you ride and very friendly In doing so and also explain why. Totally enjoyed my experiences here and definitely will be coming here more often so I can hone in my riding technique before going else where. Also even if it's raining cats and dogs the ride is still amazing

Fantastic place, with lovely helpful, friendly, caring staff & awesome, beautiful horses & ponies set in the most amazing countryside! When you book an hour's riding here you will get an hour! Unlike other places where they waste 20 minutes getting organised. At Cholwell they get you riding quickly & make sure you get as much or as little help as you need. I really can't recommend them enough.
