I don’t do reviews very often but had to do one for this place as they are all brilliant, I am a very nervous patient and have struggled over the years to find a good dentist one I feel I could trust. Anta is so understanding and the hygieneist is also very good, well they are all good! My last thing I had done was home whitening, I didn’t think it could work that well for me but I am blown away with the results and so pleased, if you are nervous like I am about dentists or had a bad experience then please give this practice a go you won’t regret it.

This review goes from bad to worse – read until the end, it’s worth it. A few years back I decided to get braces at Highcliffe Dental Practice. I did not let the hostile customer service put me off as it had been a recommendation from a friend. During my time wearing braces, I was told at every appointment that they would ‘shave a little bit off’ of my teeth in order to make them look straighter. I was concerned by this and expressed my concerns but was quickly told that this was normal procedure. At times, my teeth were shaved so close to the nerve that I suffered pain during my appointments. Having had braces for a little under a year, I was told that they were ready to come off. I will admit that I was extremely excited as I had been eager to remove the braces. However, when they were removed I quickly realised that my teeth were not straight. I told Anta (the extremely unprofessional head orthodontist) that I was unhappy as I could see that my teeth were not straight and my bite was uncomfortable. I was told that it was entirely normal and this was the best she could do. I left unsatisfied but did not proceed to make any complaints at the time. Fast forward a couple of years, my fixed retainer is broken. I call to book an appointment (thinking it best to see the same orthodontist that originally put the retainer in) and was told I would be charged for the usual appointment plus the price of PPE due to Covid. I accepted and booked the appointment. Ten minutes later I received I call cancelling my appointment as I previously expressed that I was not happy with the service I had received and I had an ‘outstanding charge’ to my account. First I was told that I did not pay for part of the braces, which I denied. Then she said that it must have been the whitening which she sold me. I reminded her that I had paid for both the whitening and braces together prior to treatment. Anta spoke to me herself and was INCREDIBLY rude about the alleged lack of payment. Further to the payment dispute (which I have since checked my own records and most definitely paid at the time), I have NEVER been told by any form of customer service provider that I could not return because I (THE CUSTOMER) was unhappy with my treatment. Finally, I booked the appointment, informing her that I did not want to see another orthodontist as she had put the original fixed implant in and so I wanted her to fix it (of course, I was willing to pay for the treatment). The day of my appointment arrived. Coming from Bournemouth there was roadworks and so I arrived four minutes late to my 8am appointment. From the entrance, you can see the main room where Anta sees her patients (and you can also hear everything that goes on in that room as the window is usually open). I heard Anta loudly shout ‘WHAT??? WHY IS SHE HERE???? TELL HER NO’. Despite this, I rang the doorbell and stood waiting for a few minutes. The receptionist told me I could not be seen and could not rebook my appointment there and then but would have to call up to rebook. Needless to say, I will not be rebooking my appointment. The service at this practice is extremely unprofessional. And, more worryingly, the dental care is poor and caused me many more problems that I had prior to the ‘treatment’. I am taking this complaint further to the Dental Ombudsman.

Anta is the best dentist and she and her team are amazing! She's done 4 teeth implants for me along with other treatments (whitening, root canal treatment, etc) and I am a super happy pacient. She is very gentle, careful and her work is painless - which is the most important thing for me. Just go there and you'll see why everybody recomends her.

Never recommend, my partner went there they done temporary filling , after 10 mints it came out, he called them the lady told him if he got pain come back !! My partner went back he is being charged again for Their mistake! It’s was your Dental care he had an appointment Wednesday at 5:30 ... until now he got so much pain
