What a lovely railway. A fantastic journey on the steam train. But I must mention the toilet facilities at Aberystwyth. Wow! I have never been in toilets so posh. Love all the GWR fittings especially the loo roll holders!! Also lovely baby changing facilities, by far the nicest and cleanest I have ever used. Well done.

Pleasure to visit, staff very helpful. Trains & carriages maintained to a high standard. We'll worth a visit if you have children.

One of the most beautiful experiences of my life, the scenery was breathtaking. The train itself felt like you were going back to older better times. Absolutely beautiful experience so glad I got it into my life.

£23 per adult and 13.50 per child and £3 doggie ticket. Worth spending the money. First class carriage doesn't allow dogs so if your not a dog person maybe go for that carriage as it seams people love to take their pooches for a trip on the steam train, and why not. The views a truly beautiful even on a wet rainy day and when the sun comes out be prepared to be stunned. Once at your destination there is a little cafe and gift shop selling an assortment of sandwiches, cakes drinks and sweets at very fair prices. Devils falls is just a short walk down the hill and is well worth the walk at £4 per adult and £2.50 per child, dogs are welcome on leads. Please pick up your dog's mess and take it with you, don't hang the bag in a tree as that makes picking it up an utterly futile exercise. The walk consists of a very large amount of steps down to a small metal bridge where you cross a small gorge. The views both down and back up are epic, getting back up the steps is fairly strenuous. Anyone with walking difficulties or lung capacity issues could struggle. There is a short walk on the other side of the bridge for just £1 each but there are still a few steps to get down to the water. Back up at the railway you can have a go at driving a steam train for £5 or have a foot plate ride for£3. Trains leave at 10:30am and 2pm and take an hour to get to their destination, of you get the morning train you can stay for an hour and get the next train back or stay for afternoon and get the last train at 4:15pm train back. All in all a fantastic day out.
