Seems like the council police this very strictly as if it were a school play ground and issuing fines where they can. Very immature a4 laminated rules of do's and don'ts. You are not allowed to overhang the parking bay at all for example... a lot of the vehicles had parking fines on their windscreens so I imagine this was why.
The bays are actually hard to park in and are very tight. I would recommend finding somewhere else to park and save the paranoia.
A car park next to the beach perfect
Great place to park in a motorhome, good views of the front and only a short walk to the town centre
Only good if you are visiting South beach or castle. Bit of walk really if you going to city centre or towards pier
Not a lot of spaces difficult to park
