We used to go there regular for our meats & Veg also for a cup of tea while there... First few times were great... However we noticed the attitude of the owner changed and become unfriendly, ... The last time we went we didn't even get in to the second set of doors in the shop before we noticed the owner look at us, while serving at the Till, with a non friendly frown as we nodded hello to him.. Not sure what his problem is and it is a real shame as all the other staff are the opposite, very chatty and Friendly. We supported the Shop all through the first Lock Down as we care for Local Farmers (It would have been cheaper and easier to go to the local supermarket). The shop is set out really well & Looks great. The meat is fresh & tasty. The cafe has a lovely view with seating outside & a children's play area. Maybe taking notice of the customers reviews on here wont be a bad thing if it helps to get customers back and fix the issue's that seem to be the problem. Seems also the rules of the Buffet is just a little off putting hence us not having dinner there. Our advice would be to hand over front of house to his Children, whilst he concentrates on keeping the business afloat. maybe the responsibility of doing that is what makes the owners attitude the bulk of the negative comments. We were spending on average £50 p/w & We won't be going back, purely because of the owners bad attitude. Not feeling welcome whilst taking our money is not a good combination.

Fabulous farm shop with excellent produce. Had a lovely roast dinner in the cafe too.

Overpriced produce, quality was good but not worthy of the price tag. Restaurant looked like an old fashioned greasy spoon and menu looks dated so we didnt bother eating. Baked goods also looked overpriced and nothing special. Liked the craft and handmade gifts. Bought a nice cheese from the deli counter. Been there once wouldnt need to return.

We always pop in when we are in the area. The Rib Eye steaks are stunning and their pies and scotch eggs are lovely too.

Well laid out, with a great range of quality meat & produce. The produce is fresher, & keeps much better, than the offerings from supermarkets. The meat is also fresher, and unlike the supermarkets has no added water. All of this means that both meat & produce, taste much better. Yes, quality costs a bit more, but it's so much tastier & healthier than supermarket meat & produce
