I have visited the Woodland several times in the past weeks. I found it quiet and a peaceful walk, that is until today. Whilst out with my camera a female with a Red Setter dog approached and the dog ran towards me and then ran away again. This happened on several occasions whilst i was trying to photograph some plants which caused me to abandon my photographs as the female did not do anything to stop the dog from this behaviour. At one point she was about 200 yds away from the dog. I thought this woodland was for all walkers not just dog owners who appear to fail to take into account other people out for a walk. This is disappointing as it is a nice place but if this is what its like I won't be coming back. As i was walking back the main path i noticed dog excrement on the path which some nice king dog walker had just left behind for someone else to pick up or step in. Not a good place for young children.

A wonderful new plantation of mixed woodland which is obviously a haven for bees and butterflies. Safe place to walk your dog as long as they're not a runner or chaser (bordered by a busy road). There are places to sit and rest and the main paths are accessible for pushchairs and peeps with mobility problems. Would have said 5 star but for the traffic sounds, but they'll be gone once the trees are bigger.

Great place to pick up your Christmas tree! Free non-alcoholic hot wine, hot roasted chestnuts and cake!! Brilliant.

Absolutely stunning place. Hidden gem

Nice wee wood, ideal for an easy walk on the main path. Would like to see more smaller paths as extra detours off the main path.
