We chose I Rest My Cakes as our usual cake maker Simply Cakes had decided to hangup her apron and we were stuck for our sons Birthday Cake.
We paid £95 for a 2 tier cake which is on par with most of the professional cake makers we are familiar with locally.
The service was friendly and professional but sadly the cake didn't live up to our expectations.
I didn't get a chance to inspect the cake when it was delivered due to the way it was packaged but upon opening soon saw it was poorly presented, the icing had torn and was littered in crumbs. The overall decoration was amature and the figures were disproportionate to the cake.
The cake itself was tasty, though the sponge was very dense.
Overall our experience was OK but the cake lacked the professional finish you pay for.

Ordered cupcakes for a Hen do, they were perfect, tasted amazing and the service was second to none. Would definitely recommend placing an order for any occasion. Exceptional service, even better price very affordable.
Absolutely wonderful and felt honoured to be her first Harry Potter cake tooo my 14 year old loved it we all did, such vibrant colours and flavour , totally recommended her
