Brilliant campsite. We stayed in one of the handful of statics (which was very reasonably priced, and very well maintained). Some caravan / tent pitches are in bays and others have a view of rolling hills.
Facilities wise there is everything you'd expect including a shop for essentials. Fresh bread is available that you can order the night before and collect in the morning.
Our kids loved making friends at the play park and we enjoyed bike rides and walks from the site. Everything is spotless but without a huge list of rules nailed to every surface which is sometimes the case.
In the vicinity there are attractions such as Stonehenge, Salisbury and the New Forest. There are loads of streams to paddle in around the area which I always like to do!
All in all a great stay. Thanks very much!
This could be a 5 star campsite but three things let it down. 1. No response to my online booking. I had to make several phone calls to check availability and drove to it on the chance that I had a pitch. 2. The facilities are described as a modern heated toilet block. They were neither modern or heated. They were adequate but no more. 3. At night there was no general lighting on the site but with many trip hazards there were serious health risks. Thank goodness almost all the caravans had kept their outside lights on.
Couldn’t praise the staff here more. 5 stars from me. Our motorhome was bogged in and the staff pulled out all the stops to get us out of a tricky situation, allowing us to carry on with our mini break, thanks again to the staff.
Smashing site adjacent to the race course. Good Covid-19 protocols in place and immaculate facilities.
Its ours 3rd year staying here and we absolutely loved it again, the site has put on a lot of extra measures to make the site safe due to covid 19. But as usual the site was just perfect, can't wait to go back next year.
