Glynneath Dental Practice

If I could give 0 stars I would, It hursts to give a 1. I work in care & we had an emergency meeting just before we went into lockdown about contingency plans regarding covid-19. I had to cancel appointment day before & they struck me off. I really thought they would understand. I even had my management at the highest level to ring them & confirm this. The receptionist was awfully rude to my manager. Totally unprofessional to deal with. I have even turned up to appointments with them in the past only to be told we did ring your house number this morning, it’s been cancelled. (Do you realise that some people also work I had to finish early for this) it’s always impossible to book an appointment that suits you & your place of work. They will never work with you. It’s always on their terms. They are obviously earning too much money & couldn't care a less. If you have an ounce of decency go somewhere else that would appreciate your custom more. STAY CLEAR AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!!

Excellent care as always from very good dentists and nurses

Absolutely gobsmacked at the way I've been treated at this practice. I appreciate they have a strict policy about not being able to attend appointments, however I did call ahead to explain that I would be unable to attend my appointment. Despite this, I've been kicked out of the practice and I've just got off the phone with the most rude Receptionist I have ever spoken with. Avoid this place like the plague!

AVOID! Visited this dentist like normal this week to have a check up. Terrible customer service from staff, I am 27 weeks pregnant and apparently there wasn't a toilet there due to building work going on so I had to go back to the house quickly. Before going in I filled in questions and stating the fact I am pregant. Went in to see the dentist and she nearly done a XRAY but remembered just in time that I am pregnant and should NOT have them done. Lucky she read my notes but she should of before I even entered the room. She then prescribed tablets to take as my gum by my crown is a little bit swollen. The tablets she prescribed states on the leaflet that you should NOT take while in pregnancy!! I had started taken the tablets but something was telling me to double check and luckiy I am a cautious person and checked the leaflet. I always heard bad reviews and my experience with them was appalling and would NOT recommend anyone to go there. I went down to speak to someone today and the receptionist stayed on the phone and give the excuses she couldn't hang up as she been in a que for ages. While trying to speak to the receptionist the denist was hiding behind the door getting up information about the tablets. The dentist then interrupted and abruptly put the phone in my face to try and convince me it would be okay but would be my decision whether to take them. The dentist then carried on talking saying how long she had studied in university and that she would know more than a doctor and a midwife! Obviously I checked with the pharmacist and they advised me to stop taking them and also the midwife did to. The staff and dentist did not handle my issues how they should of and also did not apologise for it and for putting me under stress.

Wonderful staff and a great dentist. I was nervous at first as it has been a long time since I have been to see a dentist. However, they really took their time to explain everything and made me feel at ease.
